RnD Associates leads innovative sexual and reproductive health initiatives across diverse communities. From organizing citywide awareness campaigns to developing toolkits, we design culturally responsive programs that address real-life barriers to

HIV/STI prevention.

Notable efforts include our PrEP Ambassador Program, monthly

podcasts, and storytelling performances promoting PrEP in

high-risk Baltimore zip codes.

We are committed to empowering the next generation through evidence-based training like Advancing Youth Development (AYD) 

and The Teen Years Explained (TTYE). 

In partnership with Johns Hopkins University, we co-developed the second edition of TTYE and train youth leaders at HBCUs and housing developments to

become peer educators and health advocates

RnD provides full-spectrum evaluation services, including logic model development, IRB preparation, survey design, and impact analysis. 

We've successfully evaluated large- scale programs like  Project Pneuma and the Baltimore Rites of Passage Initiative (BROPI),

helping our partners improve outcomes and secure future funding.

Using participatory methods, we conduct comprehensive asset and needs assessments to inform local action.

In Howard County, we partnered with the Children’s Board to assess

community strengths and service gaps, leading to targeted program development and resource allocation.

We nurture professionals through hands-on coaching and mentorship models tailored to public health and community

development. From graduate interns to community ambassadors, RnD has built structured pipelines for emerging leaders to grow

through real-world experience, performance reviews, and continuous feedback.

RnD excels in mobilizing diverse stakeholders, from faith leaders to community gatekeepers, to co-create sustainable health solutions. Through our Experience Africa network, diaspora partnerships, and local coalition work, we amplify community voices and foster cross-sector collaboration.

We bring health services directly to where people live, work,

worship, and gather. Our outreach spans barbershops,

campuses, and churches, offering HIV/STD testing, PrEP navigation, and sexual health education. Using the SPARK

method (Surveillance, Proximity, Activation, Reframing, Knowledge Transfer), we deliver localized, high-impact interventions that shift mindsets and reduce disparities.

We deliver high-impact, context-sensitive training programs tailored for health professionals, youth workers, educators, and community leaders. Our reach spans from Baltimore to Africa, transferring skills and knowledge that strengthen local systems and

promote global health equity.

At RnD Associates, we bridge the gap between research and real-life application. Using the Community Engaged Research

Framework, we translate complex findings, including real-world data (RWD) and real-world evidence (RWE) into clear, actionable strategies that communities and frontline professionals can use.
